Frequently Asked Questions
Technical Specifications
We don't have many restrictions for uploading photos. Any modern and standard format will be accepted. Typically the larger and higher resolution imagery, the better. But we will take a look at anything and decide if it meets our standards and can be posted on the site.
We are currently only offering the highest resolution of each item for sale. As we continue to grow, we will be looking into offering a variety of sizes at various price points. There are many free conversion programs out there (such as MPEG Streamclip), that can convert any item you buy and download into your desired size and format. But to keep things clean and easy, we do not convert or downsize any media that is uploaded.
Videos tend to be a bit trickier than photos, however we try to accept as many formats and sizes as possible. Due to the nature of video and the internet, some formats work much better than others. Here is a list of what we recommend and currently suggest: We accept a huge variety of video clips. Due to the nature of the internet and the rapidly evolving field of motion and video, we try to be as accommodating as possible while working within the confines of the internet's boundries. We foresee this list evolving over time, and please reach out with any questions, ideas, or concerns. We highly recommend the following: Frame Rates: 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94, 60 Format: .mov, .mp4, .mpg Resolution: 4K (4096x2160, 4096×2304, 4000×2160, 3840×2160, 3996×2160, 4800×2700), 2K/2.5K (2048×1080, 2400×1350, 2432×1366, 2702×1520, 2704×1520), HD (1920x1080, 1280×720, 1440×1080, 1888×1062, 1920×1088) Codecs: ProRes, DVCpro, H.264 (we accept others, but due to the nature of the internet and the constantly shifting technical hurdles, these are the codecs we recommend.
